About the Project

Tactical Arbitrage is a robust web-based platform that helps online sellers source profitable products by scanning thousands of retail sites and performing deep Amazon data analysis. However, with power came complexity — especially for new users. So we stepped in to simplify the interface and elevate usability, with a focus on improving discoverability and reducing churn.

Problem

Users were overwhelmed by the interface, and new subscribers were dropping off before truly experiencing the product’s full capabilities.

Key pain points:

  • High cognitive load on the dashboard
  • Poor feature discoverability (e.g., Reverse Search, Amazon Flips)
  • “Zero results” screens creating dead ends
  • Support team constantly dealing with confused users

Our Solutions

We redesigned the entire experience with a focus on clarity, guidance, and interaction design.

  • Reimagined dashboard prioritizing user
  • goalsIntroduced modular layouts and visual hierarchy
  • Surfaced “hidden” features into daily workflows
  • Added New Quick Search Reduced over-filtering and dead-end UX scenarios
  • Refreshed the design system with scalable patterns

Visual Guideline

We build system that reusable components, patterns, and guidelines that ensure consistency and efficiency

  • Onboarding Time 40% faster workflow completion
  • Feature Discovery 60% increase in Reverse Search usage
  • Support Tickets 50% reduction in UI-related queries
  • Retention Boost+38% retention among first-month subscribersReduce implementation time by ~35%
